Born with a purpose

Every human being, regardless of gender, color, religion, ancestry, is born with a purpose.

There is a reason for your being in this world, a reason for the time spend on earth, and a reason for departure.

Fortunately, the blue print for why we are born is innate with every man – nobody knows it, but you. Every human being is a cosmos, or a little world of its own.

In fact, there are many other things that we are born with; for example, you never have to teach a new born baby how to cry, fold the fingers, open and close the eyes, yawn, suck a finger, or poop, because the how, is innate.

No man can read your definite purpose in life except you. If you are unsure, or do not know, the only person to ask is your Creator.

You do yourself a lot of harm, if you rely solely on some information given by your religious leader, soothsayer, magic, stars, palm reader, teacher, parent, or friend.

You are the captain of your own life. The fruits, or the results of your sojourn on earth, are the seeds you plant, or the sum of your own choices. We all reap what we have sown at the end of this life.

Happiness, wellness, wealth, blessing, curse, death and evil are choices every human being must make in life.

From the womb, every man comes with a mind that is made ready for work or enterprise, and a body that is prepared to obey the commands of the mind.

No individual is born sub-human, mediocre, cursed, or poor. Without exception, every human being is made, or formed in the womb in the “likeness and image of God with a vision for success:

And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul” (Genesis 2:7).

“God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them” (Genesis 1:27).

Ever since God formed the first man from the fine dust of the earth and breathed the “breath of lives” into him, life has never ceased.

God has a purpose for creating man and fashioning the earth to sustain and provide for the physical needs. Man is to “fill the earth and subdue it; and have dominion over the earth and all that is in it:

“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth” (Genesis 1:26).

God blessed man with authority, power, and the ability to succeed in the stewardship of the earth:

“And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth” (Genesis 1:28).

Even though, we are not as originally created by God, because of the entrance of sin, which has perverted and corrupted our human nature, the gift and the blessings of God is upon everyone that is born into this world.

Every human being, male or female is born with the blessing of prosperity – we are born to be successful, fruitful, and fulfilling.

There is work for every individual human being that is born into this world – a work that is peculiar and tailored for the individual; a work that no man can do it better than you.

We all bring something to the table of life. Born into a rich, wealthy, aristocratic, elite, renowned, illustrious family, and with a silver spoon in your mouth, so to speak, would not necessarily translate into a happy, successful, and fulfilling life for the privileged beneficiary.

Equally true, born out of rape, in a manger, ghetto, slum, and an abusive home, would not necessarily translate into misery, poverty, defeat and unhappiness for the under privileged victim.

As God would have it, even the disabled body with a sound mind can enjoy a productive, happy and a fulfilling life.

Every human being without exception is divinely given a mind without which nature with its unlimited resources and all at our disposal would mean nothing.

Who we are physically, is determined by the state of our mind: “For as a man thinks in his heart, so is he” (cf. Proverbs 23:7).

Equally true, the moral aptitude of a man is not determined not only by what he or she does, but the state of the mind and heart.

We are not defiled by what we eat, but what we say. What we say is a product of the heart and mind. Every human being is genius, and not just a few:

“A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things” (Matthew 12:35; 15:18, 19).

Created in the image and likeness of God, we are created with equal worth and dignity.

Unfortunately, man is his own enemy. Due to our fallen and depraved nature, we often set at premium people and things which we like, and acceptable to our ego, and appeals to our flesh.

We pick and choose, but ignorantly reject the people and things that are most blessing and profitable.

No wonder, it took us almost six thousand years to develop electricity and the computer; even though, the materials and the means to acquire them has been with us from the beginning. Human society destroys the brave, the best and the wisest of her species.

Nevertheless, as for you my beloved reader, by the grace of God, you would live long enough to accomplish the purpose for which you are created.

If you have not yet discovered this, it is not too late. With a sound mind, a desire, and divine wisdom, you would not only discover it, but in addition reap all the blessings that comes with its attainment.

Materially, no man brings anything into the world. Because, all the provisions needed for the attainment of one’s definite chief aim are already here in profusion and perfection.

Equally true, we do have to take any material assets into the next world, because it is overflowing in superabundance of wealth. If you think this world is so good, wait till you get into the world to come, so to speak.

According to the Bible, life on earth no matter how exhilarating would not be remembered:

“For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind. But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create” (Isaiah 65:17-18b).
