Let us Start from the Beginning

Now, you are ready to publish your Christian book.  Perhaps you have already published a few, or you are still writing. Either way, you are certain God has called you into this vocation.

Our purpose in this page is to give grounding to the man or woman who has been chosen, called, and led by God to provide doctrine, reproof, correction, and instruction in righteousness to the body of Christ - the church.

Because this vocation is fundamentally different from non-Christian authors, there are some cautions, and guidelines that you should pay close attention. We believe that these guidelines might make it easy for you at the Judgment Seat of Christ:

"For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad" (2 Corinthians 5:10).

The Bible is the only book that is made up of letters. God directed the authors what to write, and none wrote out of sheer interest, financial gain or for any other human aggrandizement.

They wrote because God asked them to do so, and they wrote as men who were inspired by God (2 Timothy 3:16). Inspiration sets the tone for all that are written in the name of God. No man can lay any other foundation than that which is already laid with Jesus Himself being the chief cornerstone:

"And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone(Ephesians 2:20).

In fact, any man can lay any foundation of their choice, but that day would determine if we shall receive the reward due to our effort or lose it all.

No work of God is worth doing if it is not of God and from God:

"Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble" (1 Corinthians 3:12).

All works of God must have these three characteristics: They must be God initiated, God worked, and God glorified.

Nothing done in the name of God and for God must be of the flesh. Again, as someone said and which is so true: "What the Holy Spirit does not reveal is not worth knowing."  Equally true, what the Holy Spirit does not initiate is not worth doing. The fear of God is tthe beginning of wisdom.

Over the centuries, many wirtings have been published, distributed, and many people have been blessed through them. In the same vein, many others has been damaging, full of heresis,  faith destroyers, and even profaned the very name and image of God.

Some of these authors were genuine and sincere in their work, but because their work did not begin and end with God, they fell by the wayside. Human beings, whether Christians or non-Christians are fallible.  Bending the knee in fervent prayer over a long period of time may be necessary in some cases to verify with God that the work you're doing, or about to venture into is of Him.

The Christian author, chosen and called by God, and as a result a disciple of Jesus Christ, cannot do any work in the name of God without God's approval and initiative. If the work intended is for God and His blood bought, blood washed, and Spirit led saints, then it must be from Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit.

Now, with this introduction, let us proceed into our subject matter.
